Nourishing minds and bodies through all forms of learning
By feeding our minds with the language of food, we expand a child's vocabulary, ability to follow recipe directions, recognize food labeling, and describe the characteristics of plants and food.
Our classes foster mindful movements with mashing, squeezing, stirring, whisking, pinching, and chopping. Our programs impact the overall nutrition of our bodies - every organ, every muscle.
Mathematical skills and scientific reasoning naturally develop through our hands-on classes. Through growing, measuring, testing, and cooking, children learn the what, why, where, and how of the food process.
Through cooperative and independent work, our classes encourage self-regulation, self-confidence, trying new foods, sharing of responsibilities, respecting our bodies and earth, and the relationships between food, friends, and cultures.
From 30 minute food exploration classes to 3 hour cooking camps, we create individualized programs, and bring them right to your school. Our real-life food experiences help children understand where food comes from, teaches them how to prepare it, makes healthy eating fun, and encourages food exploration with all 5 senses.
By cooperatively working side-by-side with family and friends, at Family Table Night we share more than just a healthy recipe. We guide each family to prep, cook, clean, and eat together - all while teaching about nutrition, cooking techniques, and the roots of our ingredients.
From learning how to make homemade skincare products and natural cleaners, to baby food making, kitchen gardening, and probiotic classes - our adult classes encourage all ages to take part in our sustainable revolution.
